ITF Creates Tailored Solutions and Visibility for Growing E-Commerce Businesses
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the globe in 2020, it’s no surprise that e-commerce industry has seen incredible growth over the past year. For decades the e-commerce industry was slow to gain traction with spending averaging about a 1% growth rate per year according to the U.S. Census Bureau. National retail sales have increased 10.8 – 16.1% since late 2019 and throughout 2020 as a result of the pandemic causing a shift in the industry’s focus.
This is where third-party logistics providers have seen in an increase in the available capacity for business needs. 3PLs are now shifting focus to create tailored solutions for their retailers. ITF Group recently partnered with a California based sun-care company, Olita that has seen an 800% growth in it’s wholesale and direct-to-consumer business in 2020. Laurie O’Hara, founder at Olita used the same 3PL for years but was running into fulfillment issues with her current 3PL, which is what prompted her to find a new 3PL.
“With a 3PL, you get a warehouse and a fulfillment center so that they can take that off your plate. But the first 3PL I hired would ship out the wrong product and miss orders. The account would call and say, ‘Hey, where’s my order?’ I had to start micromanaging, and that’s something you just don’t want to do.” O’Hare mentioned in a recent article featured in Freightwaves.
O’Hare partnered with ITF Group in 2021. With rapid warehouse expansion, ITF Group was able to accommodate the growing sun-care company. ITF Group has gone from 22,000 square feet to over 1 million square feet in the past two years. Furthermore, automation will be added to our distribution and fulfillment capabilities positioning us as a leader in the 3PL industry. ITF continues to strive serve it’s customers with tailored solutions and visibility for all customers.
